The Voice is a monthly newspaper for the whole international student community in Leuven. It is primarily made by and for volunteering international students in Leuven. The Voice wishes to be standing in the middle of the international student community, connecting events happening on world-scale to Leuven and vice versa.

In order to keep up the standard, we need your help to deliver an interesting, original and mind-boggling issue of The Voice every month! So, are you feeling like you have something to share with your fellow (international) students? Join in!

EDITORIAL TEAM

Our editorial team consists of a group of dedicated editors under guidance of an executive editor (Thomas Van Eeckhout). The people at The Voice are all, majorly, international students who feel like they could tell something to their fellow students, cooperating with articles, columns, cartoons,... The editors themselves propose what they would like to write about, depending on the inspiration and time they have at their disposal.

PRACTICALITIES

Want to meet new people and learn or develop new skills? Then join in! Come to one of our weekly meetings or contact us through the website or get in touch with us through mail. We hold editorial meetings every Tuesday, at 8 PM in the in our office in Pangaea or at LOKO ('s Meiersstraat 5). Keep an eye on the planning on the homepage of our site.

The editors propose their subjects, among which the team picks the most appropriate ones. Depending on when the idea has been brought in, the editors usually have one month time to complete their article(s). New ideas can be brought in at every meeting. The deadline of The Voice is usually two to one week before publication; the final editing team then prepares all the gathered material for publication. Lay-outing is normally done the weekend before publication and then on the first or second Tuesday of the month you should be able to find The Voice all over Leuven!

EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

We are looking for photographers, journalists, cartoonists, revisors... at all times. The volunteering students are the body and soul of The Voice. Experience is no requisite, as long as there's a mind to join in!
