Belgium is known, among other things, for the quality of its traditional food and its cuisine. In Leuven, we can enjoy one of the best breakfasts in the Belgian restaurant "Nosh", where you can also eat some typical food at a reasonable price.

All the products and dishes you can enjoy at "Nosh" are fresh. Every day, they offer their clients a chance to enjoy a special menu that changes each day. Two of the typical belgian dishes are the soups and stoemp.

Soups are a traditional dish in Belgium, especially pea soup, tomato soup with meat and onion soup. Each morning they prepare two special fresh soups which are published in the Nosh entry titled "soup of the day."

The Stoemps is another Belgian traditional dish. It is mainly cooked during the winter season. The menu shows just one type of stoemp but you have a great variety. You just have to ask. The most common is based on mixed potatoes with vegetables, sausages, bacon and meat.

The best time to visit Nosh is at breakfast time, especially on weekends.

Its specialty is the Verloren Brood or "Lost Bread", which is based on lost bread mixed with milk, eggs and sugar. Everything is baked. Nonetheless, it offers more almost 10 varieties: sugar, apple siroop, honey, banana, apple sauce, cinnamon and banana and chocolate.

Nosh has a menu specialising in chocolate. We can find hot chocolate, fondue, cold chocolate and cocktails. All the chocolate that is used to prepare all these dishes is prepared each morning. Chocolate cocktails are the most typical. You can find three types: chocobailey (milk chocolate & Baileys) chocoretto (chocolate + amaretto) and Havanna Dream (chocolate milk + Havanna club). Also, there are cold drinks like brown chocolate glacé (vanilla ice cream, warm dark milk chocolate) and white chocolate glacé (vanilla ice cream, warm white chocolate).
