M Museum Wins Museum Prize 2011

The cultural treasure of Leuven, the M Museum recently won the MuseumPrize 2011. On top of that, they also won the Public Prize. The museum received a prize of 10.000 euro and 2500 euro for the Public Prize. This is going to be spend on projects to attracting a new audience.
The M Museum only opened its doors since 2009 but quickly found its place in Leuven. The jury admires this approach and also the fact that the museum collaborates with amateur artists. But most important is the fact that M attracts a broad audience because they offer a wide range of subjects.
This MuseumPrize 2011 will give M Museum a whole new dimension of recognition, national and international. |
