LGBT: Holebihuis Goes International: Leonardo

Last March Leonardo LGBT International saw the daylight. This new organisation for international Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender people was founded in Leuven. Leonardo is part of the Holebihuis.

International Association: KIB

Association of International Affairs, known as KIB for their Dutch-language acronym, is one of the oldest in Leuven. Among their main goals since 1945, is to encourage students to be more involved in foreign politics and international affairs. On April 7h, 2011, they organised their last activity before the Easter holidays: a visit to SHAPE headquarters. The Voice was there.

KULMUN's National Conference 11-13 March 2011

KULMUN, the K.U.Leuven Model United Nations Student Association, organises its first National Model UN Conference, which will be held in March 2011.

International Association: ALAS

It's not recognised by the K.U. Leuven yet, but they are not worried. It is just a matter of days.  The Association of Latin American Students (ALAS K.U.Leuven) was born 4 months ago but, despite its youth, it's going strong.

With nearly 200 members on its  Facebook group and growing, ALAS lands at Leuven to present their culture and support to new students. The Voice meets three of its volunteers — Vileikis Ona (Colombia), Natalia Rueda (Colombia) and Jesica Dadamio (Argentina) — to learn more about it.
