No more smoking in bars at Oude Markt
When the smoke ban comes into force on the 1st of July, almost every bar on the Oude Markt in Leuven will be smoke free. Only bar Het Forum is going to install a separate smoking area. Café Rodins will make a heated luxury terrace.
Beleuvenissen
A summer in Leuven isn't complete without Beleuvenissen. Every Friday of July, this free festival guaranties an evening of good vibes and music. Streets and squares will be transformed to locations for this various performances, all in the centre of Leuven.
Worldfest in Leuven
The famous Worldfest (Wereldfeest) has become a household name in Leuven when it comes to free festivals. Each year, this free and worldly vibed festival lures thousands of people to Leuven. On Saturday May 28, the 23rd edition of Worldfest starts at 13.00h in park De Bruul in Leuven. This years theme is 'Hope makes escaping'. Worldmusic, worldfood, worldmarket...Worldfest, a perfect start for the festival season.
