lovenowandthenLove is back, perhaps. The latest Janus International Theatre’s play is worth at least a temporary resurrection. Love Now and Then is a thoughtful, nicely written script with an interesting ‘clash of ideologies’ central storyline.

Whoever said that young people don’t care about the serious issues of present-day society anymore has clearly never met any of the members of the association Noord-Zuid Studenten (North-South Students) in Leuven. Jole De Corte and Hanne Vervaele are two coordinators who are tasked with making sure that everything runs smoothly on the annual Fair Trade Pick-Nick with Jam.

jannesOn May 7th the first wave of elections for next academic year’s mandates at LOKO took place. At that occasion, Jannes Motmans (23) got elected as LOKO International’s coordinator, following in the footsteps of Bert Willems.

mitchellQ&A SESSION WITH AWARD-WINNING DAVID MITCHELL AT THE BI-ANNUAL SERVOTTE LECTURE

“Lacking imagination – it’s like saying you’re not properly human.” This is only one of the many memorable quotes David Mitchell graced us with during a Q&A session on May 18 and the Servotte Lecture itself on the 19th. It seems as if he makes them up as he goes, piling up the savoury metaphors. When I ask him about the quote later he is honestly confused. “Did I say that? Oh, well, it does need a bit of work…” Mitchell doesn’t take himself too seriously, which kept the lecture light and easy to digest.
