Blindness
Blindness is a movie that has a good message, good actors, and a good director... yet something seems to be missing. Try as I may, it is very hard to put my finger on what that is, precisely, so let’s try and do that together.

Michael Jackson Live in Bucharest
Although this was one of those DVDs that I always wanted to have, I only bought it recently; just two months after Jackson’s death, when MJ products filled the stores and shop-assistants didn’t give you a funny look when you asked for the 1992 concert recording of a sadly extinct pop icon.

Being the most succesful movie ‘of all times’ at some moment in some region of the world, isn’t always a blessing. By now, there are a lot of people who start to feel sick in te stomach at the thought of having to watch Titanic yet again, or they just want to hit something when they hear the opening tune of The Sound Of Music. Is Erik Van Looy’s Loft, the most visited movie in Belgian cinemas of all time, destined to a similar fate? Let’s hope not.

‘An adult fable on power, sex and cooking’ is the tagline of ‘Estômago’, ‘a gastronomic story’. The movie is shot in Brazil, but a joint production of Brazilians and Italians.

Having read the book some years ago, I was more than curious to have the opportunity to watch this time the breathtaking plot of “Angels & Demons”, on the big screen. Although Dan Brown has been tremendously characterized negatively (and positively) for his previous book-movie “The Da Vinci Code”, one should definitely clear up his mind from all and give to Angels and Demons a fair chance.
